Jennifer Love-Pennell earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (1998) and her Master’s in Counseling (2001) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Jennifer has been a licensed clinical mental health counselor since 2004.
After spending over 20 years in various aspects of behavioral healthcare, clinical leadership, and healthcare consulting, Jennifer joined Crossnore as Vice President of Clinical Services in 2024. In 2026, Jennifer transitioned to Chief Program Officer where she leads Crossnore’s Child Welfare Programs, Clinical Services, Community-based Programs and Bridging Program.
In her spare time, she enjoys learning to garden and traveling for her son’s baseball games. Jennifer is married to Chip Pennell and the couple has one son.
