Lisa Bryant is a North Carolina native from Charlotte, but she is proud to call Linville and Avery County home for the past 13 years. She is a life-long lover and creator of art earning a Scholastic Gold Key during her middle school years. She came back to art in college. Attending UNC-Charlotte, she earned her Art Education degree focused on elementary school. She taught in the CMS school system teaching K-5 before taking time to stay at home with her two daughters. Returning back to teaching at Trinity Episcopal School she enjoyed working with middle school students in art elective classes. She has spent the last 13 years enjoying time with her husband, spending as much time outdoors as she can, active in the Linville Golf Club art community, reading, and enjoying her granddaughters instilling her love of art in them.
Artist Statement
In my work I enjoy exploring a variety of materials and mediums. I use a limited color palette and mixed media focused on playful mark making and organic shapes inspired by nature. I enjoy finding different objects and materials to work with collage and mark making in my work.
