As a native of Charlotte, NC, Anne is an alumnus of the Atlanta College of Art and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from The Maryland Institute, College of Art. Having worked as an art director in New York City for 15 years, a graphic aspect can usually be seen in her paintings.
Anne has studied under Curt Butler of Gastonia, NC. Her works have been in shows and galleries in the US. She has been featured in American Art Collector Magazine and International Artist Magazine, where she won 2nd place in their Abstract/Experimental Art competition. She is represented by Providence Gallery and Crossnore Fine Arts Gallery both located in North Carolina.
As a contemporary artist, Anne looks for a unique point of view and often finds some unexpected beauty in an ordinary or unattractive setting. Some of the elements she uses are line, color, and shape. The principles that interest her are balance and movement –‘cause, we gotta dance!
