Child & Family Therapist
Lindsay Sheek is as a Child & Family Therapist serving outpatient clients on our Winston-Salem campus and at local schools. Lindsay is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate, and National Certified Counselor. Lindsay has experience working in college counseling centers and community mental health settings. She has worked with clients individually and in groups to assist clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other diagnoses. Lindsay utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and other modalities to help clients develop insight, discover healthy coping mechanisms, and meet their treatment goals. Lindsay believes that the collaborative, nonjudgmental, and trusting therapeutic alliance that is built between the counselor and client is the essential foundation for promoting growth and healing. She joined Crossnore Communities for Children in 2024.
