Child & Family Therapist Supervisor
Betsy Cohen is a Child and Family Therapist Supervisor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who sees outpatient clients at our Hendersonville office. Betsy began with Crossnore in January of 2022. She has previous experience in wilderness therapy and in-home services, working primarily with youth and their families who have experienced trauma and attachment wounds. Betsy is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDR Consultant-in-Training with specialized training in doing EMDR with attachment, pre-verbal, and complex trauma. She is also trained to provide 7 Challenges, DBT-informed practices, Child Centered Play Therapy, CBT, Positive Parenting Practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. She offers an option to include her dog, Norm, in sessions providing Animal Assisted Therapy services.
