Rebecca N. King

Rebecca N. King is an American artist with European atelier style training from one of Pietro Annigoni’s students, Fresco Master Ben Long IV. Influenced by the art and philosophies of the past and present, King’s art is centered around light and color relationships in the natural world and the emotive weight of relative natural, and formal elements.

King works in a private studio in Black Mountain, North Carolina and regularly travels across the world to paint landscapes and study the world’s greatest masterpieces. Prolific and passionate about more people experiencing great art, King makes art and shares her work and ideas with friends, students and colleagues every week in North Carolina and online.

King teaches at the Fine Arts League of the Carolinas, a school founded by Ben Long IV to educate artists in the traditional drawing and painting methods of the Old Masters.

Racism is Trauma

Crossnore School & Children’s Home exists to be a sanctuary for children and their families and racism destroys sanctuary. Racism is trauma and is part of systemic community trauma that has long term negative impacts on people and communities of color. Crossnore believes that black lives matter, and we are committed to building an anti-racist organization and supporting the development of racial equity in our communities.
