After 49 years of working with clay,
I still relish the little-kid-at-Christmas
thrill of anticipation and discovery
with every kiln opening.
Experiments are the heart
of my work:
fresh combinations
of clays, glaze materials,
and firing processes that
evolve into new series,
and then diving deep to
explore variations.
As a result,
every piece within each series
is a riff on a theme,
related yet unique.
